The Director General of Health Services reaffirmed on 28^th November 2022, the commitment of the Ministry of Health to implement Global resolution on eye health on Integrated Patient Centered Eye Care (IPEC), recommendations of World report on Vision (WRV) and UN resolution to national plan of Sri Lanka. Following this, Non-Communicable Disease Bureau in collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO) country office, WHO SEARO and Vision 2020 took the initiative to develop National Action Plan on IPEC in Sri Lanka 2022- 2030 under the guidance of the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) & Operational Eyesight Universal (OEU). Two day workshop held with many stakeholders for situation analysis and to develop strategic vision to formulate Strategic Plan 2023 – 2030 in line to WHA 74 including eye health indicators.
