Highlighting the importance of empowering the public to improve their own food practices, the Directorate of NCD has established a separate technical unit for the Promotion of Healthy diet.Main function of this unit is “to promote healthy diet throughout the life cycle as primordial and primary preventive measures and control of secondary and tertiary complications of NCDs”.

This unit works in coordination and collaboration with relevant Directorates in the Ministry of Health and other Ministries,international and local NGOs and volunteers towards prevention of NCDs. Advocacy for promotion of healthy diet, improving community awareness and encancing capacity of staff for promotion of healthy diet.
